Role purpose:

// Reporting to the Channel Excellence Lead, the position holder will be responsible to manage Channel Management strategies, data collection, analyses, and reporting in the Southern African Countries (SAC), which includes Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, by partnering effectively with the Commercial, Marketing and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

// Partner with sales to review channel management strategies across the 4 Southern African Countries (SAC)

// Manage Channel Transformation projects and drive the successful implementation

// Continuously monitor opportunities for improvement or change the Route to Market Strategies across SAC to adjust to market, customer, channel or portfolio dynamics.

// Develop, Enhance and Coordinate Channel Segmentation across countries.

// Support channel strategies such as Market Funding, Rebate and Incentive Programs, with data management and analytics

// Support and track regular data collection and analyses for all channel related data, including inventory, sell-inn, sell-out, business plans, expired receivables, growth rate, etc.

// Manage the Sales Incentives Program (SIP) by evaluating various KPIs, do performance calculations to determine the incentives per sales person and reporting.

// Coordinating with various African/ EMEA team on SIP for SAC

// Manage the implementation and data analyses for digital tools like Rewards+ (BRP), LEAD and Advisor

Qualifications

// Undergraduate university degree in Agronomy, Marketing, Business, or related fields.

// Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial roles with responsibilities on strategy, data analytics, sales incentive planning, and, or channel management.

// Experience in the agricultural sector is desirable.

// Good skills in the use of Microsoft Office suite are a prerequisite, as well as advanced skills in the use of data analysis tools such MS Excel and Power BI.

// Highly motivated, creative, dynamic, and well organized.

// Good business and strategic acumen required.

// Excellent communication and presentation skills.

// Fluent in English, oral and written, is required.

// Customer centric and market oriented.

// Experience with project planning and execution.

// Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with associated deadlines for deliverable results.

// Proven ability to influence effectively in a diverse organization and works well in teams.

// Ability to work well across both commercial and smallholder farmer markets and collaboration
