Description
  • The Campaign, Digital Activation and Branding Manager for East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia) is responsible for the Campaign Activation Team which is responsible for the design and execution of master and tactical marketing plans for seed and CP products and paid media, including campaign management, marketing programs, product marketing communication and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with relevant functions (GTM, Partnerships, Knowledge Transfer, Sales, Market Development, Field Solutions, Regulatory, Country Managers and CCL) to effectively execute on campaign plans based on go to market strategies by ensuring that brands are presented consistently, and campaigns, launches and events are delivered to deadline. // Budget development for all Campaign Activation activities for the entire East Africa region and monitoring on monthly basis to ensure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Responsible for Purchase Order Approval for all Campaign Activation activities across the East Africa Region. Implementation of approved product brand guidelines in communication, packaging, collateral etc in Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia.
  • Supporting of the Small Holder activities in the East Africa Country group.
  • Facilitation of digital enablers and last mile reach activities (LEAD, Advisor program and Track & Trace)
Responsibilities

 

  • Implement and execute on customer (farmer and channel) focused marketing campaigns linked to GtM strategies to achieve annual business targets.
  • Core responsibilities in development and implementation of marketing campaigns will include:
  • Develop core messaging for products, USP and value proposition aligned to MD and GtM Manager
  • Identify new and innovative (disruptive) ways and concepts to increase brand awareness, product usage and market share
  • Track effectiveness of campaign /communication and implement action basis learning
  • Leverage digital solutions and platforms to optimize campaign effectiveness and messaging
  • Plan and support the execution of promotional and trade events
  • Build collaborative working relationships with key internal and external partners (suppliers and agencies) for EA to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply and service delivery of marketing material and services in line with guidelines and strategy.
  • Coordinate the implementation of comprehensive marketing launch plans for new product launches in East Africa.
  • Implement a process to track key competitors marketing and campaign approaches and activities.
  • Collaborate with business intelligence and customer insight team to develop in depth market and customer understanding to ensure marketing campaigns are customer focused.
  • Create a customer centric and on the ground campaign activation team in East Africa which places customer needs, value proposition and practical implementation central to all decision making.
  • Ensure and support the effective role out of product brand guidelines in marketing and campaign material as well as labelling and packaging across East Africa.
  • Work with the GtM managers and strategy team to ensure effective resource allocation in terms of communication, demand generation and promotional activities in line with growth potential and strategy.
  • Optimize approved budget, ensure efficient spend on external resources, services, tools and media.
  • Manage and track monthly the annual advertising, promotional and demand generation budget for EA
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Brand Management, Business or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 year’s experience in Campaign and brand Management.
  • Ability to Manage a high-performance team.
  • Experience in working with marketing campaigns, preferably digitally based.
  • Agricultural background, experience in the seed, crop protection and/or biotechnology industry is preferred.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel / Power Point / Word) a prerequisite.
  • Highly motivated, creative, dynamic and well organized.
  • Good business and strategic acumen required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English, oral and written, is required.
  • Customer and market oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with associated deadlines for deliverable results.
  • Proven ability to influence effectively in a matrix organization and works well in teams.
  • Project management experience.
  • Budget/resource allocation and management experience.
  • Ability to work well across both commercial and smallholder farmer markets.
